Associate Director of Mediation and Litigation

Michael Radovcic focuses his practice in Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution as a Mediator with specific expertise in Energy and Natural Resources Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Aviation Law and Wills and Trusts with an emphasis in Oil and Gas Transactions and Litigation.  Mike has extensive litigation experience having tried over thirty jury trials, sitting first chair in a majority of those, and has tried over 500 bench trials.  Mike's expertise, attention to detail and his relationship with clients offer a level of service incomparable, involving millions of dollars in results.

Prior to joining Dyer Coatney Schroeder, Mike was an associate at a boutique Oklahoma City Law Firm that catered to some of the largest Oil and Gas players in the region.  Mike successfully defended numerous companies in a variety of cases ranging from multimillion dollar nuisance, trespass and pollution cases to zealously advocating the rights of his clients in numerous land disputes.  Mike was also a dedicated public servant as a Deputy District Attorney for Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada, wherein he served on the general litigation team and appellate unit. 

Previous to that, Mike worked for the civil litigation firm of Cappello & Noel, LLP in Santa Barbara, California, which is often considered one of the top litigation law firms in the United States. Mike gained valuable experience in various legal areas including Torts and Toxic Torts, Lender Liability and Banking Law, Contracts, Employment Law, Health Care Facility Defense, Elder Abuse, Commercial Law, Real Estate Transactions, Family Law, Entertainment Law, and Construction Defect.  This experience specifically includes: participation in a 300 plaintiff environmental toxic tort claim filed in the United States District Court against a top-30 Fortune 500 Company; a $180 million Marvin v. Marvin trial effort; an eleven-month construction defect trial worth an estimated $54 million dollars, a multi-million dollar elder abuse trial, a $50 million dollar buyout of a land management company, and assisted in the successful defense of a multi-million dollar employment lawsuit against a hospice provider.

Furthermore, while in law school, Mike was an extern to the United States Department of Justice and served in the same capacity to the Honorable Joe L. Heaton of the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.  

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mike worked as a consultant to major league baseball and assisted a consulting firm in presenting various research projects regarding player personnel to the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Yankees, the Anaheim Angels and San Diego Padres.  In addition to his affinity for baseball, Mike is an avid golfer and enjoys college football Saturdays. However, there is nothing more Mike loves than spending time with his lovely wife and their three children.

Mike earned his B.A. (with Honors) from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his Juris Doctorate (with Honors) from the University of Oklahoma College of Law wherein he received the high mark in his class for Contracts, Professional Responsibility and Legal Research and Writing.  Mike is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the State Bar of Nevada, the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American inn of Courts and the Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyers Society.
