Blaine M. Dyer

Blaine M. Dyer is a partner and founding attorney of Dyer, Coatney & Schroeder.  Blaine practices primarily in the areas business and energy transactions, business formation and planning, commercial real estate law, real estate and mineral title opinions, and oil and gas law, and currently serves as the chair of the legislative committee for the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen.

Blaine is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (B.B.A. in Finance 2005, with distinction) and the University of Oklahoma College of Law (J.D. 2009). While in law school, Blaine’s research regarding the Oklahoma Surface Damages Act was utilized by the Oklahoma Attorney General as the basis for an opinion confirming that the 2006 recodification of the Well Site Safety Zone Act overturned the Oklahoma Supreme Court's decision in YDF v. Schlumer, Inc., 2006 OK 32, 136 P.3d 656, regarding the required distance between a producing oil well and a residential structure. OAG Opinion 09-5. Blaine was also recognized for his research in Kraettli Epperson's article, Well Site Safety Zone Act, vol. 80 no. 13 Oklahoma Bar Journal 1061 (May 9, 2009).
